Thirty years at the bedside
Ann Chatterton has worked as a registered nurse for 30 years, most of it in adult health inside Level 1 trauma centers. That work means she has spent decades reviewing medication lists under pressure, sitting with people at the worst moments of their lives, and being unshockable about the human body.
From the bedside to the chaplaincy
Alongside her clinical nursing work, Ann trained and served as a hospital chaplain and spiritual director. That background is why she is comfortable talking plainly about death, fear, and meaning, not only about pharmacology. Clients facing a serious illness often say this is the combination they could not find anywhere else.
The first in Oregon
In 2022, Ann became the first person in Oregon to earn a Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she graduated with honors. She is also an experienced LENS neurofeedback practitioner.
Facilitator and educator
In 2023, Ann began training psilocybin facilitation students. She is a long-time educator on microdosing and presented The Pharmacology of Psilocybin at Oregon PsyCon in May 2023. That talk is available on YouTube.
Why medication safety comes first
Every consultation starts with your actual medication list, not a generic intake form. SSRIs, blood thinners, heart medication, and sedatives all matter, and Ann will tell you plainly when the honest answer is not yet.
Beyond the credentials
Outside the clinic, Ann lifts weights, paddleboards, and ferments her own food, from sauerkraut to kombucha. She plays music and speaks multiple languages. Clients often say it helps to know that the person reviewing their medication list also has a full, physical, curious life of her own.
